I’m not sorry if I step on toes with this one. In this politically correct world where the truth is hard to come by its easy to get opinions that make you feel good about yourself but do you a disservice in the results produced. While I do want you to like who you are, I will not say what people want to hear if it’s not the truth. I’ll say what you don’t want to hear. So if you have been working out for a few months and don’t like what you see, there is a problem with what you are doing. Here are some of the things it could be.

I could outright tell someone what to eat on their diet but it doesn’t help them in the long run. They need to know the ‘why’ of what they are eating and what effects different foods have on their bodies. They need to LEARN that they don’t need to diet, they need to eat properly. NORMALLY. Semantics maybe, but diet sounds like you need to do crazy crap in order to look great and you DON’T. Really.

Ray not eating fat burning foodsFirst, there are no “foods that burn fat.” You burn fat when you go into a caloric deficit. What does exist, is foods that have a lot of nutrition without a ton of calories and these foods are conducive to a fat burning diet. With that in mind, let’s move on.

Anytime the topic of discussion in my blogs, articles or newsletters has turned to my own personal grocery shopping list, there has always been a spike in interest. It seems that many people are not only curious about what foods a natural bodybuilder eats to maintain single digit body fat, but they also want to be taken by the hand and told exactly what foods to eat themselves while on fat-burning or muscle building programs.
